These Terms and Conditions govern your access to chettuva.com and your purchase of products from Chettuva Fresh Fish Products. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the policies linked at checkout.
1. About Chettuva
Chettuva Fresh Fish Products sells packaged dried seafood and related food products. Our principal place of business is XI / 459, Pokkulangara Beach, Engandiyur – 680615, Thrissur, Kerala, India. FSSAI Licence No. 21324195000580.
2. Eligibility and customer information
You must be legally capable of entering into a purchase contract. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete billing, delivery and contact information. If information is incomplete or incorrect, delivery may be delayed or fail. We may contact you to verify an order before accepting or dispatching it.
3. Accounts and authentication
Some features may require an account or mobile-number authentication using a one-time password. You are responsible for controlling access to your phone, email and account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account or an order placed through it has been used without permission.
4. Product information and food safety
- We aim to describe products, pack sizes, prices and availability accurately. Product images are illustrative; natural variation in dried seafood may cause reasonable differences in colour, size or appearance.
- Always read the product label, ingredient information, allergen declaration, storage directions, date markings and preparation instructions before use.
- Seafood products may contain crustaceans, fish or other seafood allergens and are non-vegetarian. Do not consume a product if you are allergic to an ingredient or if the seal is broken, the pack is damaged, or the product appears unsafe.
- Storage and handling after delivery are the customer’s responsibility. Follow the instructions printed on the pack.
5. Prices, taxes and availability
Prices are shown in Indian Rupees. Applicable taxes and delivery charges, if any, will be shown on the product page, cart or checkout before payment. We may change prices or availability prospectively. A price change does not affect an order already accepted, except where an obvious error requires us to contact you for confirmation or cancel and refund the order.
6. Orders and acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt, not final acceptance. We accept an order when payment is confirmed and the order is prepared or dispatched. We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch for stock shortage, payment failure, suspected fraud, an incorrect price, an unserviceable address, legal restrictions or another reasonable operational reason. If we cancel a prepaid order, we will initiate a full refund to the original payment method.
7. Payments
Payments are processed through Razorpay or another payment option displayed at checkout. Your payment is also subject to the payment provider’s terms and security checks. If a payment appears to fail but your account is debited, contact your bank or payment provider and share the order or transaction reference with us. Do not send us your card security code, UPI PIN, banking password or one-time password.
8. Shipping, delivery, cancellation and refunds
Serviceability, dispatch, delivery, failed-delivery and tracking terms are set out in our Shipping and Delivery Policy. Cancellation eligibility, food-safety return restrictions, damaged or wrong product claims, and refund timing are set out in our Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy. Those policies form part of these Terms.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use the website to break the law, interfere with the website or another user, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, submit false information, misuse discounts, commit payment fraud, copy content unlawfully or place orders for resale without our written agreement. We may restrict access, cancel affected orders or report suspected unlawful activity where reasonably necessary.
10. Intellectual property
The Chettuva name, logo, product photographs, packaging artwork, website text, graphics and site design are owned by or licensed to Chettuva Fresh Fish Products. You may view and use the website for personal shopping. You may not reproduce, modify, sell, publish or commercially use this content without prior written permission, except as allowed by law.
11. Website availability and third-party services
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Checkout, authentication, payment, hosting and delivery may depend on third-party services. We will take reasonable steps to assist with problems within our control.
12. Liability and mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under applicable consumer-protection law. To the extent permitted by law, Chettuva is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the order was placed. We remain responsible for supplying accepted orders with reasonable care and for providing remedies required by law.
13. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, natural disaster, epidemic, government action, network or power failure, labour disruption or courier interruption. We will communicate material delays where reasonably possible and offer any remedy required by law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and any forum available under applicable law, courts with jurisdiction in Thrissur, Kerala will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or an order.
15. Changes and contact
